Things don’t happen in a magical ivory tower, they happen when well-informed people go out into the world and make things happen. They happen on the plant floor. They happen in a conversation when a customer needs us. We decide to take our future in our hands and vote on what shape the world will take with our actions. This bias creates grit; we simply won’t give up until we have found a solution.

Curious people are constantly trying to find a better answer. How else can we solve a problem? What else could the customer need in a given situation. This curiosity drives our fanatical focus on the customer and the innovation that stems from it. Curious people ask ‘what if’ questions, challenging the status quo and searching for more. This curiosity is born in our desire to save lives and protect property, something we carry at our core. Curiosity also drives us as individuals to keep learning and growing in our careers, constantly seeking out new challenges.
